romance is dead?
There's a reason I've been having breakfast at a certain cafe recently. It's good for an early morning laugh at the many drunk and wasted people still out from their friday night and it's also good perv value. And, I've been perving on one person who works opposite the cafe where I have breakfast. I've been busted a couple of times by this person and naturally I smile and give a kind of "biker nod" then quickly look away. Well today they left their regular work post, and disappeared for about 5 minutes. Then, out of the blue, suddenly walked by me, smiled and gave me a rose and said "This is for you", smiled coyly again and then disappeared. Let's just say that sort of thing would make anybody's day. After a little bit of a crappy start to the day my day is now suitable made :)
Now I'm wondering if I should go back there next weekend for breaky? I'm such a soft touch for this sort of stuff.

The spiced up meme...
from JJ...
Five things I wish were in my freezer:
- Bread
- Vanila Drumsticks
- Party Pies.. (yes, 4 of these beauties are the breakfast of champions!)
- Never ending supply of ice cubes
- Some of mum's pumpkin soup
Five things that shouldn't be in my wardrobe:
- a really old pair of CK underwear with holes (you didn't need to know that)
- a really bad pair of polyester work pants (static city!)
- a bread machine
- the contents of the "draw of secrets" (don't ask)
- old drycleaning stubs
Five things I hate about my car:
- I don't have a car so let's go with the bike
- nothing
- oh hang on, I wish it was a Monster
Five things I should throw out of my handbag/purse/briefcase/backpack:
- London Underground ticket from 3 years ago
- A dodgy phone number
- an out of date condom (yes - it's been a long long time!)
- my maxed out American Express
- old ATM receipts
Five things I don't want to admit are in my bathroom:
- A bucket
- Way too many different types of body wash (I just can't find one I like)
- the broken towel rail even though it was replaced months ago
- empty hair product containers
- my bathroom is actually very boring... can't think of #5.

Halocline... (updated)

is my word of the month. A halocline can be found in some caves. It's something I have wanted to view first hand for some time now. It's where two bodies of water of differing densities meet. The less denser or "fresher" of the two will sit on top of the other. This is what I experienced on the cave dive. I'm probably going to rave on about this dive for some time to come.
These pics show what diving in the cave was like. I didn't take my camera on the dive, so these are not my pictures. Notice the different colours between the two layers. In one layer erverything has a green hue and in the lower body of water everything has a blue hue.David Attenborough has said "This is our planet's final frontier. An inner world where only the most adventurous dare to go... Beneath our feet are countless miles of caves and passages." And let me tell you, I was a little nervous. But, my excitedness was stronger than the nerves and the nerves submitted.
So, "halocline" is my favorite word because a halocline is a natural phenomena that not many people in the world would get the chance to dive through. It's something I've wanted to experience for a couple of years now.

And how about that...
I achieved another thing today. Yes, my first "1st to Find" Geocache. *spoilers ahead*
And the irony of finding this one is that it was about cricket, and I know almost next to nothing about cricket. I know some field positions, but that wasn't enough to totally solve this one. I also needed to know the length of a cricket pitch. Something which we looked up on the internet "just in case" we needed it. Well, we did.
However, we didn't have as much luck at the other one we attempted in the same area. Couldn't find WP1 of a 3 WP multicache. Losers!

As I lay face down on my bed in my jocks...
I'm reminded of the famous opening scene with Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now. Why? Well, I'm wondering about that too. There are numerous similarities and some big differances. My jocks are grey and I think his were white.

There's something to be said for...
being single. Sometimes I just kick myself and go, "Isn't this great!" I also think "Isn't this great!" when I think about not having kids.
But the rest of the time I think about being in a relationship and having kids.

Nice weekend for it...

not. It was 4 degrees and raining... But did that stop this die hard dirt bike fan? NO! Although it should have. It was so slippery and muddy. All in all it was a fun afternoon of riding. It's the first time back on the bike for me after breaking my foot. So I took it a little easy at first. Then by the second ride I was approaching the humps with a little more confidence and trying to get a little bit of air. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get the bike off the ground like I had hoped, so maybe next time.
