Ribs and wings from the "Rio Grande Texas BBQ" takeaway in Balgowlah. It's only takeaway and it's delicious. I've learned that the only real way to eat ribs is to just get stuck into them and get sauce all over your fingers and hands. Ok, so it's kind of annoying if the phone rings but hey, let it ring while you enjoy your dinner I say. This is the "Combo For One": A rack of ribs, 5 BBQ chicken wings 1 potato (perfectly cooked, NOT spoilt by being drenched in stupid sour cream) and corn. I opted for the Chilli Pineapple sauce. O.M.G! Yes, it's my new fave. Yes, I know it's not good to eat regularly. But yes Yes YES gimme more!
Seagulls. I love watching the seagulls at night fly alongside the ferry. I have no idea what they actually dive down and catch. I'm assuming it's small shrimp in the bow wash. But they are always there every evening and through the night. They follow the ferry from Manly and then swap ferry's mid point when the one from Circular Quay passes it and they turnaround and fly back with it to Manly.
The view from work. Especially now that the City's Vivid festival is on. The Opera House is bathed in beautiful projections each night from 6pm. Simply put, "It's stunning."
Wow. 4 Pines. I'm still discovering places here in Manly I never knew existed. Did you know we had a brewery here? I didn't until last week. It's great to know that we have places like this in Sydney. It's small, crowded with local, has a good buzz to the place and it's someplace that's just a little different. AND good crisp fresh beer. Now, if I could only get them to serve a big platter of ribs while I watched the seagulls fly off from Manly Wharf then how good would that be!?!

How good does that sound! Although I will object to the sour cream statement - that shit rocks on spuds! Ribs sure aint the kind of thing you can enjoy in polite company though - better to just lay into them, who cares if you end up with sauce from your nose to your knuckles.
Seagulls I'm not so keen on. They always want something! Your view from work is spectacular too. All I get to look at is four walls in a windowless room. Sigh.
I'm glad you're still discovering everything that's good around you - I will be coming to Sydney and I'm going to need a tour guide who knows his shit!
I'm with you on sour cream.
That is a great view from your work. For a time back in the 1990s I worked in Cumberland Street (to the left in your pic) with a fine view between other buildings across to the Opera House. We are very lucky with views in Sydney.
Yum. Ribs. Corn. I'm so there.
Mmmmm.... BBQ Chicken Wings... Yum..
Had some corn on the cob last night, yummy! Enjoying the country-life for now.
Yes to all of these. Apart from seagulls. I hate them. The. End.
