Melb to Sydney in 4.5 hours...

Melbourne was great last night. It was warm. I managed to catch up with a mate from Melbourne in my hotel bar for a few beers when he suggested we go for a walk. Melb is a good place for that.

As we headed off a few drops of rain sprinkled down. By the time we had gone halfway around the block it had become a shower. It was great. We both weren't in any hurry and we both were enjoying wandering around chatting in this very warm summer rain.

Today the flight home was a little delayed. Melbourne airport had closed earlier in the day due to storms. Judo and I managed to change to a different flight so our delay was going to me minimised.... That was until Qantas realised that after we all had boarded the flight they had "forgot" to load the baggage. So, we all sat patiently on the plane while they rounded up the baggage and loaded it into the cargo hold. Finally, we're ready to push back... Well, that was until a bird flew into the cockpit and then the pilot couldn't find where it flew to. Apparently this bird had decided that hiding behind the instrument panel out of reach was a good place. So, while the flight deck was dismantled, we all sat in the plane and waited patiently. 2 hours later the bird was off the plane and we were ready to take off. This was my longest time on a plane that didn't involve an international destination.

Glad you had a good time in Melbourne Muz. Obviously you were meant to stay longer!! I don't think you could have done any walking the last two nights, perhaps some swimming though!
