after yesterday's "skirt and fluffy slippers" episode. Today was about the big ships and warfare. It's the local naval base open day today and they had a few ships in port to explore. I'm a huge fan of ships and to be able to wander through a guided missile vessel was an impressive way to spend a sunny sunday.I enjoyed checking out the naval diving equipment and the onboard navigation systems. That's me standing on the bow of HMAS Diamantina. This is one of Australia's minehunter class of ships.
Now, please excuse me, there's motorsport on TV and beer in the fridge so that's the rest of my afternoon taken care of.
