I was recently reading about the term 'Web 2.0'. The article was describing the rise of the web as a platform on which social and professional networks reside, rather than just linking to databases of predefined information.
But I wasn't sure that it wasn't just google viral-marketing hype....
I've been studying the whole concept quite a bit of late as part of my job. I'm a recruiter for a certain type of job and constantly looking at new ways to pull in candidates. It's all wicked-clever tho ain't it.
but wow lots of implications for us as we construct and express our humanity.
Technology becomes the new currency and colonising force. Those who own it and construct it, construct the dominant reality. Those who dont get left behind. The new form of cultural imperialism

Fascinating concept! We are part of it...albeit a rather rudimentary part for some of us! lol
