Moroccan Lamb À la Muzbot

Yum... I'm loving Moroccan food at the moment so tonight I attempted my own creation. Muzbot cooked!

Combine these dried and powdered spices in a plastic bag along with some chopped up lamb: Salt, powdered garlic, cumin, paprika, turmeric, black pepper and a pinch of chili and coriander. Shake it all around, squash it a bit and then tip it into a hot big saucepan along with a tbsp of good olive oil and 1 diced up Spanish onion. Brown it. Add a pinch of good powdered saffron.

Then turn the heat right down, chuck in some chunky carrot and zucchini, two chopped up ripe tomatoes (take picture at this point for blog), some chick peas, halved green olives and a few sultanas. Stir, then add 1.5 cup of chicken stock and simmer slowly for however long it takes your dinner guest(s) to turn up. Let's say about an hour because they were running late. Dish it up with some couscous.

It is super delicious.

Yummo! Well, you realize you've done it now...I'm going to harass you until an invitation is forthcoming to Chez Muzbot for Moroccan lamb! :-)

Good God Man, how is it that you are single? As suggested in a comment by one of you many admirers, you must look over alot of peoples shoulders who are looking directly at you trying to get your attention. The lamb sounds divine and I can only imagine that it would have been deliciously tender after simmerring for an hour while you awaited the arrival of your guests, I hope they had a good excuse. If there are any wayward invites to Chez Muzbot, I would make myself available (Along with Evan of course). I hope your guests last night are bloggers and can let us know how great it tasted.

Sounds like a recipe I might have to try this weekend. I've heard that they tend to include stuff like Apricots or Dates in Moroccan cooking! Might be an acquired taste.

Ahem ... dinner guest wasn't dinner guest at the time dinner started to be prepared. How can dinner guest be late if no pre-arranged time?
