Awwww...

<- Sorry, but I just can't help liking this from tonight's TV.

Anyhoo, now I've got that out of the way...

Tonight I continued with my crazy "must get fit" dream. I was chatting to my mate Killer today at work and I think we've decided to do the Bridge Run in 8 weeks time. It's not like it's a marathon or anything like that, it's a "fun run". Now, I've never been a runner, or jogger so tonight I had to start training. I've printed out my plan and pasted it on my kitchen cupboards and am going to tick off each day as it goes by over the next 8 weeks and just do what I need to do. I started off well by going out and doing tonight's run. It started out easy, but ended in panting and puffing and just a tiny bit of sweat. I guess I'm on my way.

re the photo: What an extraordinary get up - what show were you watching ? Definitely not "Here's Humphrey"

And you running ? I seem to recall an earlier blog where you fell down a flight of stairs or something ?

Should Monty gets the bandages ready ? :)

steady on there! All of this sudden exercise could seriously damage your health. I'd recommend a gentle intro to it all - accompanied by lots of tea. And maybe biscuits.

Paddington62: Definitely not Here's Humphrey, but there's a bear in there...
Darth: I followed up this exercise with a few celebratory beers at home on the lounge in front of the teev. :)

Ha ha ha! Those boys! Well done Muz, do watch those stairs, the curbs, the gutters, traffic islands, cars, pedestrians etc etc. And do not run with a knife in your hand! lol And I'm very glad to see you're balanced about it, with some beer to celebrate! As C Montgomery Burns is want to say..."Excellent!" :-)

Good luck.. distance running does take build up. The Sense of achievement is worth it. Is it for a good cause? (excuse the ignorant Brit here).

Here's hoping Zoran was naked under the bear suit :P

forgive my ignorance, but what is the story with Zoran?

Yarravillepaul: no story with him really. I just saw this on tv last night and the guy looked rather good in this costume. From what I saw I think the ex contestants from BB07 were acting out their time in the house as a fairytale. - I guess it was for the younger viewers.

LOL....I was going to the Bridge run here in Brissie this coming weekend, but the way i feel & the fact smoking has culled my performance in the physical side of life...I thought I better give it a miss this year, it case it killed me!

I'm supposed to be doing the half marathon in that running festival, but am going to downgrade to the 9km if my feet don't stop hurting soon... :(

The 9k is the best part of it though - over the bridge and to the opera house... none of this schlepping around the inner west rubbish! I might see you there!

Looking forward to it Tom. I hope to see you there.
